Unit Corporation is an energy company. The Company is primarily engaged in the development, acquisition, and production of oil and natural gas properties. The Company, through its subsidiary, Unit Petroleum Company, is engaged in oil and gas production. Its producing oil and natural gas properties, unproved properties, and related assets are primarily located in Oklahoma and Texas. Its Anadarko Basin is located in western Oklahoma, the Texas panhandle, southeast Colorado and southwest Kansas and covers an area of approximately 70,000 square miles in size. Its Granite Wash is located in the southwest Anadarko Basin in the panhandle of Texas and western Oklahoma.
