While studying full time at Columbia he worked as an analyst at Gabelli Asset Management He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1992 with a BSE in Industrial and Operations Engineering.
He also graduated from Columbia University Graduate School of Business in 2000 receiving an MBA in Finance.
