Robert Ford

Mr. Robert E.
Ford is Co-Founder at Metacat, Inc. and President & Chief Operating Officer at Merriman Capital, Inc. Prior to helping establish Merriman Capital, he was president/COO and on the founding team of JobDirect, a web-based resume and job matching service for university students, which was acquired by Korn Ferry International.
At JobDirect, he oversaw all business planning and operations, and closed two private placements and VC funding totaling $9 million.
Previous to that, he was general manager of a 65 year-old manufacturing and distribution company where he spearheaded the turnaround of sales and operations, then crafted and executed a successful merger transaction with a previous competitor to the company.
Mr. Ford earned his Masters in International Business and Law from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and he was selected as a lecturer in Tufts Spanish Department and to serve as editor-in-chief of Fletchers international law and business journal, both as paid positions.
He graduated with high distinction from Dartmouth College where he played varsity football and lacrosse.
