Rafael is a member of Carao Ventures’ Board of Directors.
In 2002, he became one of the founding partners of EY Central America, where today he serves as the Managing Director of the Taxes and Legal department in Central America for Central America, Panama, and the Dominican Republic.
He is part of several global networks renowned in the areas of fiscal and law practice and is an internationally recognized professional, including an acknowledgment by Chambers Latin America.
He actively contributes to international journals and publications such as the International Tax Review.
Rafael has a Masters’ in Taxes (LLM in Tax) from the University of Florida – Levin College of Law, and a Law Degree from the University of Costa Rica.
Additionally, he is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Costa Rica Chapter.
