Sigma Capital Management (SCM) builds diversified portfolios that are comprised of a blend of growth and value stocks. The firm places greater emphasis on growth stocks. The major portions of assets are invested in common stocks but SCM also invests in fixed-income securities, mutual funds and equity options. They do not invest in speculative areas such as commodities, futures, currency options or other high-risk derivatives. The firm uses fundamental research to identify well-managed companies with good underlying businesses and technical analysis to discover uncommon values and investment opportunities. SCM does not employ the use of market timing or economic forecasts.
