Steve Chlavin took over Desser Tire & Rubber Co., a modest, family owned tire and rubber business, at the age of 18 and grew it into a major Multi-National Aerospace conglomerate specializing in the manufacture, repair and distribution of aerospace related products and systems.
Today, Desser Holdings LLC (https://desser-holdings.com/) consists of 8 companies focused on Aerospace Distribution, Manufacturing, MRO, PMA, and OEM Supply, with offices in the US, Europe, and Australia.
Steve gained invaluable knowledge, the hard way, in how to grow a small business into a major multi-national business.
Steve believes in a “bottom-up-approach.” He has personally worked in every department and touched every aspect of the business.
He led strategy, business affairs, acquisitions, finance, manufacturing, human resources, P & L, purchasing, six sigma, supply chain, and operations.
In 2014, Steve sold a majority interest in Desser to P/E Firm Graham Partners (https://www.grahampartners.net/).
Steve is still an equity holder, board member, and consultant to Desser.
Steve is also an active board member and investor in numerous private and public companies.
Steve enjoys sharing his knowledge and experiences with entrepreneurs young and old.
Steve started Level 2 Partners to work with start-ups to take them to the next level.
