Mr. Akter H.
Sannamat is a Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer at Union Capital Ltd., UniCap Investments Ltd. a Member-Standing Committee at Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh, and Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh.
He is on the Board of Directors at Union Capital Ltd., PFI Securities Ltd., Prime Prudential Fund Ltd., PFI Properties Ltd., and SES Co. Ltd. (Bangladesh).
He brings over one decade of experience in the financial industry, where Mr. Sannamat has been responsible for operations, marketing, special asset management, taxation, secretarial affairs, risk management, treasury, and finance & accounts within leading Bangladeshi financial services organizations.
He is the Co-Chairman, Standing Committee on Capital Market, and Member, Standing Committee on Insurance and NBFIs of FBCCI.
Mr. Sannamat is also a Member, Standing Committee on FDI, Capital Market & Portfolio Management, DCCI, Panel of Experts of DSE, of Listing Committee as well as Trading Committee of CSE, Executive Committee of Bangladesh Leasing & Finance Companies Association and Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association.
Mr. Sannamat joined the firm on July 4, 2012.
Prior to that, he was the Chief Consultant of AHKC, Chartered Accountants.
Mr. Sannamat was also the Managing Director of Prime Finance & Investment Limited, where he had responsibility for all business units.
He spent more than 11 years at Prime Finance and and held various leadership roles during his tenure.
Mr. Sannamat also served in financial management roles within Uttara Finance & Investments Ltd. He started his career with Excelsior Group as group Internal Auditor where he worked for two years.
Mr. Sannamat completed his Chartered Accountancy and Chartered Secretary certification in 1991and earned his bachelor's of honors and Masters degree in Accounting from Dhaka University.
