Kvaerner ASA is a Norway-based engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company. It provides technologies and products for offshore topsides, floating oil and gas facilities, substructures and complete onshore plants. Its business is divided into two segments: Upstream, and Downstream and Industrials. Upstream segment is divided into four business areas: North Sea, delivering topsides, floaters and onshore upstream facilities; Jackets, delivering steel jackets for oil and gas installations and wind jackets; Concrete Solutions, delivering concrete substructures, and International, delivering topsides, floaters and onshore facilities. Downstream & Industrials segment consists of a business area Engineering & Construction (E&C) Americas and is a contractor for onshore facilities, power plants and steel mills. In December 2013, the Company's subsidiaries divested Kvaerner North American Construction Ltd. and assets of Kvaerner North American Construction Inc. to Matrix Service Co.
