Digia continues as a partner in the Digivisio 2030 program - contract value 4-6 M€
The four-year agreement includes expert services for the design, development, and maintenance of solutions for the new digital service platform for higher education institutions.
For four years, Digia has been involved in the Digivisio 2030 program of CSC - IT Center for Science Ltd to develop a new national digital service platform for higher education institutions.
The aim of the joint project of all Finnish higher education institutions is to create an internationally respected learning ecosystem that, in the first phase, is based on digital services, joint study offerings, and interaction between higher education institutions.
"The new platform and its services enable learners to flexibly and continuously complete studies that suit their individual needs across university boundaries and develop their skills through an open course offering. The platform also strengthens the teacher's role as a producer of high-quality content and an enabler of an internationally acclaimed learning experience," says Maria Hintikka, Vice President, Digital Experience at Digia.
In 2025, Digivisio introduced its first Opin.fi service, bringing together open studies across higher education institutions. The service opens opportunities for continuous learning for those interested in higher education at all stages of life and work.
"The aim of Digivisio is to ensure that the level of higher education rises and the employment of Finns improves, both in Finland and internationally. We have been able to be involved in developing the future of higher education, and it is great to be able to continue this work," Hintikka adds.
In the project, Digia's experts will be responsible for various design and management services, as well as development and maintenance services, including specification and architecture services, service design, cloud service management, application and software development, and technology and infrastructure development.
