Tony has worked in financial markets for over 30 years, both in the life assurance and pension fund industry.
He worked in the fixed income department of a London Life for his first seven years in the City of London.
He then moved on to manage equity funds at Colonial Mutual Life for six years, becoming the Investment Manager in 1982.
From 1983 to 2000 he worked for Phillips and Drew Fund Managers, becoming Chief Investment Officer in 1985.
Despite his other duties he was always a "hands on" fund manager, retaining direct responsibility for the largest client equity portfolio for 15 years.
The UK equity portfolio produced top decile returns for UK pension funds over this period.
Tony left PDFM in 2000, the year he founded Dye Asset Management.
