Dr. Cooley is an executive with 23 years experience in senior level healthcare management with an emphasis on entrepreneurial/start-up opportunities.
His initial education as physician leveraged into opportunity to start a new business unit from the ground up and build it into a profitable venture by pursuing a niche market strategy (SYNERGON division of Spectrum Emergency Care, Inc.).
Concurrently while at Spectrum, Dr. Cooley also started a second new division (Government Healthcare Services – GHS) from ground up.
He then pursued a career opportunity to join EmCare as Executive Vice President-Operations in 1992 to devise and implement plan for rapid growth in anticipation of IPO.
Following successful IPO in 1994 and 600% revenue and profit growth through 1997, he accepted a position as CEO of USCardioVascular, a cardiovascular start-up company focused on outpatient facility development.
