Ms. Sara L.
Badler is a Senior Managing Director and heads the Legal and Compliance departments for New York Life Investments.
Prior to joining New York Life Investments in 2009, Ms. Badler served as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for New York Life Insurance Company.
She rejoined New York Life in 2004 as a Vice President and Associate General Counsel prior to which she worked at Morgan Stanley and Van Kampen Investments.
During her two years at Morgan Stanley, she was Executive Director responsible for all legal work for U.S.
equity mutual funds.
During her time at Van Kampen Investments, she was promoted to the role of General Counsel and was responsible for all legal and compliance work for the firm's business which included open-end funds, closed-end funds and unit investment trusts.
She worked at New York Life between 1994 and 1999 in the office of the General Counsel.
Ms. Badler received an A.B. degree from Cornell University, a Master of Science degree from Bank Street College of Education, and a Juris Doctor from Fordam University School of Law.
