Prior to joining Halbert Hargrove in 2008, Mr. Pitis was a First Vice President of Production Initiatives at Countrywide Financial Corporation, where he developed and managed selected business initiatives with corporate partners.
Mr. Pitis was also responsible for strategic planning and financial reporting and analysis for over 700 strategic alliances.
His prior experience includes strategic management consulting with Deloitte Consulting, as well as various industry and academic research positions.
Mr. Pitis currently serves on the board of UCLA Alumni South Bay Bruins and is an active mentor with the Blue Heron Foundation.
Mr. Pitis earned a BS degree in Forest Engineering from Transylvania University of Brasov in 1997 and a Master of Science in Forestry from Louisiana State University in 1999.
He also received an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from University of California Los Angeles Anderson School of Management in 2004.
