Mr. David A. Guarasci, CFA, is a Chief Executive Officer & Chief Investment Officer at Sherpa Asset Management, Inc. Prior to co-founding Sherpa Asset Management in 2007, he started his investment career in 1992 at TD Asset Management and progressed to the position of Managing Director and Global Head of Currency Spot and Options Trading at TD Securities.
He worked in Vancouver, Toronto, and London until 2004, after which he returned to Vancouver to create his own investment fund.
While at TD, Mr. Guarasci designed and implemented the trading strategies and was responsible for billions of dollars of trading throughout ten portfolios.
His strategies led directly to profitability numbers increasing nearly tenfold.
Mr. Guarasci holds an Honours Economics degree from the University of Western Ontario, and has been a CFA charter holder since 1996.
