Mirae Asset USA mainly focuses on investments in equity and fixed income securities, principally in global and emerging market equities and global and high-yield fixed income securities. With respect to equities, the firm focuses on a team-based, bottom-up investment approach supported by extensive on-the-ground research coverage. With respect to fixed income investments, Mirae Asset USA employs a top-down investment approach in allocating assets based on the portfolio manager’s judgment of changing market, political, and economic conditions. The portfolio manager considers various factors, including evaluation of interest rates, currency exchange rates, and the relative risk and return characteristics of prospective investments when determining how to achieve desired exposures.
