Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC (KenGen) is the leading Kenyan electricity producer. The group produces electricity from hydraulic, thermal, geothermal, and wind energy. Net sales break down by activity as follows: - sale of electricity (66.5%); - sale of steam (10.4%); - other (20.1%). The remaining sales (3%) are from operations in Ethiopia. In 2021/22, KenGen sold 7,918 GWh of electricity.
