STORY: Moscow and Kyiv accused each other on Sunday of breaking their 32-hour ceasefire to mark Orthodox Easter.

Both reported over a thousand drone and shelling attacks just hours after Saturday's truce began, four years into Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The Russian defense ministry said it recorded 1,971 ceasefire violations overnight into Sunday.
Moscow said a child was among those injured in a Ukrainian drone attack.
And the Belgorod region's governor reported at least two people killed by shelling.

Meanwhile, Ukraine reported nearly 480 shelling attacks and over 1,700 drone strikes by Russian troops.

Emergency services said two people were wounded on Sunday by a Russian drone attack in Kharkiv region.
Reuters could not independently verify reports of military activity.
At a military Easter service, a Ukrainian soldier said Russian reconnaissance drones were still circling the area despite the ceasefire.
"We wanted to evacuate our fallen comrades today, but the Russians are not letting us do so just yet," the soldier said.
The Kremlin said Sunday that the truce was a - quote - "humanitarian gesture" from Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Orthodox holiday...
But that Russian troops would resume fighting as soon as it ends.
Putin announced the temporary ceasefire on April 9, and it is set to end at midnight Sunday (April 12).
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, whose previous ceasefire proposals were turned down by Moscow, agreed to the truce.
