Before joining the investment team at NJF Capital, James gained over ten years of experience as a UK-qualified solicitor, most recently spending eight years as a senior member of the Corporate team at Mishcon de Reya.
Throughout his career, James has advised on a full range of transactions including international mergers and acquisitions, equity fundraisings and shareholder arrangements, joint ventures, corporate re-organisations and general corporate advisory.
James previously spent time on secondment as sole legal counsel at an investment manager, which at the time managed over £12bn of funds, and he has also spent time working with tech-incubators and entrepreneurs, to advise growth companies with early-stage fundraisings and other legal issues affecting technology companies.
