Prior to joining Whittier Trust in 1999, Mr. Custer spent a number of years with City National Bank in Beverly Hills and then Citizens Business Bank in Pasadena managing personal trust accounts and his clients' real estate assets.
Mr. Custer received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Puget Sound.
He is a graduate of Cannon Financial Institute's Trust School and holds a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation.
Mr. Custer is a past President and current member of The Southern California Trust Officers' Association and The Fiduciary Round Table.
He is also a member of the San Marino Rotary, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, the 5 Keys Estate Planning Council of Glendale Adventist Hospital, The Estate Planning Council of Arcadia Methodist Hospital.
