Kistefos AS (Private Equity)'s investment strategy focuses on early-stage firms in the technology sector in addition to ICT, renewable energy and financial services sectors. They look for convergence and synergies among all their investment sectors. They invest primarily in the Nordic region with certain investments made beyond this area. They are often the lead investor; they do not require majority control. Although they can invest at different stages of development, they target firms that have started to generate revenue. Kistefos AS (Private Equity) is a long-term and active investment partner. In addition to providing venture capital, they take Board positions and work closely with the management teams developing strategic plans of targeted action. Their objective is to increase value and ensure long-term profitable growth of their portfolio firms. They may also contribute to later-stage development of their portfolio firms' which have proven business models. They generally exit from their investments in three to seven years through a public offering or sale to a trade buyer.
