They target firms with growth potential and an international perspective operating in mature sectors. They invest across most traditional sectors with the exception of real estate. The firm typically takes substantial minority shares in their portfolio firms. They seek to add value by acting as a sounding board for their portfolio firms' management teams. In addition to capital infusion, they are an active shareholder. They endeavor to determine the business strategy and influence the firm's development vision. Stroke monitors the portfolio firms' financial and strategic objectives and closely follows the selection of the management team. Stroke provides equity and a combination of equity and mezzanine financing. They employ management incentives through MBOs and MBIs. Their investment horizon generally spans five to seven years before an exit.
