He was previously Vice President - Trading responsible for setting up the institutional trading department at Acumen Capital Partners.
Prior to Acumen, Mr. Abbott was an institutional trader at Newcrest Capital Inc. and Peters & Co. Limited.
He began his career in Toronto in 1986 and spent 9 years working as an institutional trader for Canagex, McNeil Mantha and Merrill Lynch Canada.
Mr. Abbott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary.
