Daniel N. Jones

Mr. Jones incorporated Blue Water Asset Management in January 1999, and created The Addington Fund, L.P.
in January 2001.
Prior to starting these ventures, Mr. Jones was the Capital Markets Manager in charge of publicly marketable securities for the Bernice P.
Bishop Estate, the multi-billion dollar endowment that supports the operations of the Kamehameha Schools.
In that position, which Mr. Jones held for over 7 1/2 years, he oversaw two portfolio assistants and was responsible for the daily trading and management of over $900 million in cash, stocks and bond investments.
During Mr. Jones’ tenure, Bishop Estate’s endowment returns in both the stock and bond components were well above comparable market indexes.
Prior to joining Bishop Estate, Mr. Jones was the Marketing Director for Denis Wong & Associates, a small Honolulu-based money management firm.
In that position, which was held from December 1987 to April of 1991, Daniel participated in most every aspect of a small money management firm’s operations, but specialized in attracting new funds to the firm.
The firm enjoyed rapid growth during those years, increasing its assets under management from under $35 million in 1987 to over $140 million in 1991.
Mr. Jones earned a Bachelors degree in Finance from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1987.
In community service, Daniel was a member of the Aloha United Way Finance Committee, and served from 1991 to 1998 as a director of the Kamehameha Activities Association, a scholarship fund for Native Hawaiian children.
He has also been a member of the investment committee for the P & C Insurance Company, a captive insurance subsidiary of Bishop Estate.
