Mr. Charles Émond is a President & Chief Executive Officer at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and CDP Global Asset Management, Inc. He is responsible for the strategic direction of the firm and positioning the institution in Québec and international markets to deliver optimal performance for its depositors.
Prior to his current position, he held the position of Executive Vice-President, Québec, Private Equity and Strategic Planning.
Before joining the firm in 2019, Mr. Emond worked for nearly 20 years at Scotia Bank and Scotia Capital, where he held the positions of Executive Vice-President, Financial Affairs and Global Head, Investment Banking and Capital Markets, in addition to serving as the Chairman of the Board of Jarislowsky Fraser.
He is a graduate of HEC Montréal and holds the FCPA and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designations.
